This program – an intense, 6-day (including the advance sessions) professional development opportunity – is exactly what is needed for supporting teachers in gaining the confidence to address this most fundamental problem of our times. We simply can’t afford to not tackle this issue, both in our roles as teachers and as citizens/parents/grandparents. Teachers experience many barriers to bringing climate change education alive in their work; this has to be re-imagined and re-engaged, and this program provided knowledge and energy for this. The Kimberley foundation provided an outstanding framework and scope-and-sequence for really digging into the science as well as the cultural/political issues. I feel prepared to become vocal about climate change in my school, town and district communities. – Monique Richoux (Falkland School)
